Your PlanterTech sound system will provide the best quality sound when placed against a wall or in a corner of the room in which you wish to listen to the system.
In outdoors or patio applications, the system will provide the best sound when placed against the house or wall adjacent to the patio area on a small table or ledge. This placement position will provide more sound output and bass than if the system is placed in the center of a table or on the ground.
Your battery will last longer if you play the unit until the battery is completely discharged. Please use the system until the battery is completely or nearly completely discharged before recharging the system on the charger.
Always try to completely charge the battery before removing the PlanterTech sound system from the charger for use.
PlanterTech sound systems are NOT WATERPROOF! Never leave your PlanterTech product in an area where it will be exposed to direct moisture or rain!
My phone or tablet will not pair with my PlanterTech sound system?
If your PlanterTech system does not appear on the Bluetooth device menu or pair
1) Make sure the PlanterTech system is not already paired to another Bluetooth device in the area. You can turn Bluetooth off on suspect devices or unpair the PlanterTech system in the suspect device's menu.
2) On the PlanterTech system turn the power switch to the OFF position and then turn it back ON, then press the PAIR button. On your Bluetooth device, search or scan again and wait for the PlanterTech system to appear. Select it and complete pairing.
DO NOT press "FORGET" or "DELETE" the PlanterTech system in your Bluetooth menu.
Always unpair or shut Bluetooth off in the menu on a paired device when pairing to another device is desired.
How do I pair my phone or tablet to my PlanterTech sound system?
Pairing is fast and simple. First, make sure your PlanterTech sound system is plugged in to a power source or that it has been fully charged. Move the POWER switch to the “ON” position.
Turn on your Bluetooth phone or tablet and go to the “Settings” menu. Then select the “Bluetooth” option. With the Bluetooth menu open, press the PAIR button on the input panel of your PlanterTech sound system.
When the “PlanterTech” device appears on the connections list of your Bluetooth device’s pairing menu, select it. After a moment, a tone will come from the sound system indicating that pairing is complete.
Go to your music library or streaming music source on the phone or tablet and press play. Adjust the sound volume with the volume up or down controls on your phone or tablet.
How far away can I take my phone or tablet from my PlanterTech sound system?
Ranges vary, but 30’ is typical for the range of your Bluetooth connection. IF there are no walls or physical obstructions, this range may be longer. If there are walls or other obstructions, the range may be shorter.
My phone or tablet will not pair to the PlanterTech sound system. What should I do?
First, make sure the PlanterTech sound system is fully charged or make sure it is plugged in to an active power source. Make sure the PlanterTech sound system is turned on by switching the power switch to the ON position.
Make sure your phone or tablet is fully charged and that you have the Bluetooth menu open.
Press the PAIR button on the PlanterTech sound system. Watch for the PlanterTech system to appear as an option on your Bluetooth device’s pairing menu. When it appears, select it. You will hear a tone from the PlanterTech sound system when pairing is successful.
I left my house for a few hours and have returned. How do I reconnect to my PlanterTech sound system?
Re-pairing your Bluetooth device is simple. Just open the “Bluetooth” settings menu on your Bluetooth device and press the “PlanterTech” menu option. You should hear the tone from your sound system as it re-pairs with the phone or tablet.
If the “PlanterTech” menu option does not appear, simply press the PAIR button on the PlanterTech sound system and the option will reappear in your Bluetooth device’s pairing menu.
Can I have a friend pair their phone to my PlanterTech sound system?
Pairing another device is simple. You will need to first unpair your phone or tablet. Do this by either turning your Bluetooth connection off in the “Settings” menu or by unpairing the PlanterTech sound system in your Bluetooth device’s pairing menu.
After unpairing your device, have your friend go to the “Settings” menu and select the “Bluetooth” menu. Press the PAIR button on your PlanterTech sound system. Have your friend select “PlanterTech” on the Bluetooth menu. A tone will come from the PlanterTech sound system when the new device successfully pairs.
How do I connect an iPod, MP3 or CD player to my PlanterTech sound system?
Your PlanterTech sound system has a 2.5mm stereo mini jack on the Input/Control panel labeled AUX. A patch cord with a stereo mini plug many be connected to the AUX input jack from devices like an iPod, CD player or other music source.
When there is a mini-plug connected to the AUX input jack the Bluetooth sound feature is overridden. The sound from the source plugged in to the AUX input will be played through your system. Adjust the volume with the volume controls on your auxiliary music device.
Can I use my PlanterTech sound system outdoors?
Your PlanterTech sound system is an electronic product and is not designed to withstand direct exposure to water or for use in very damp conditions. You may use your product outdoors if it is protected from exposure to rain or very humid conditions. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PLANTERTECH SOUND SYSTEM OUTSIDE OR IN AREAS WHERE IT MAY BE EXPOSED TO RAIN OR EXCESSIVE MOISTURE!
Where should I place my PlanterTech sound system to get the best sound quality?
Your PlanterTech sound system will sound great almost anywhere that you might want to place it. However, the system will give you the best audio performance if it is placed against a wall or in a corner of the room where you wish to listen to it. The system should be placed on a counter, cabinet or piece of furniture approximately at ear level.
How long will my PlanterTech sound system play music on a fully charged battery?
At normal music listening levels you should expect to get 4-6 hours of music from your PlanterTech sound systems on a fully charged battery. If you play the system at the maximum output level you may have slightly less playing time. If you play the system at lower sound levels, you may be able to achieve slightly longer playing time.
